Wow, time flies when your busy and Maddie has been a busy little girl! She had a blast at the Newfoundland National the first week in May and made a lot of new friends in Frankenmuth, MI. She also thoroughly enjoyed herself at SCNR's first ever Newf A Rama, never meeting a stranger.

She continues to have her happy attitude and works hard in therapy. Jocelyn, of Sunshine Therapeutics has been wonderful at creating different challenges and keeping us on track by pointing out Maddie's progress. After a few months of using four wheels (to motivate her to use her back legs) Maddie is now back to two wheels and pushing with her rear legs. She is gaining muscle tone and is begining to push up with her rear legs to climb stairs and get on the couch. A picture is worth a thousand words, so check out the photos and videos of Maddie's progress over the last couple of months!

We always request a fenced yard. Occasionally we will accept  invisible fence for certain dogs, but leash walking is mandatory in these cases. The first step is to fill out our online application to get our process started. Thank you

If you would like to foster a Newfoundland in need, please fill out our online adoption application and write anywhere that you would like to foster.

We rarely get puppies less than 8 months of age unless they have major medical issues. We recommend www.newfpuppy.com if purchasing from a breeder.
