He's ready to go! He is doing well with his recovery, and will benefit from regular walks and some massage therapy on his leg, but he's an awesome boy! He LOVES kids, gets along great with cats and other dogs. He sounds the alarm with new people but once he is introduced, he is very trusting and loving.

3/17/13 - This cutie just came through knee surgery and is on his way to recovery! He's extremely sweet, but came from an abusive situation so has a little trouble with initial hello's but that has drastically reduced in less than two weeks. He is house trained, up to date on all vaccinations, and currently being fostered in Dayton, OH, but will not be available for adoption for another week or so, and then only to a home who is prepared to rehab his knee.

He had a grade four luxated patella and a partial torn crutiate. So he was in A LOT of pain before surgery and is currently in pain from surgery but that is subsiding more each day. It will take him some time to learn to use his leg properly as he has been like this from early puppyhood with no intervention. His leg is attrophied from lack of use, so he needs time but gets around on three legs very quickly as that was all he knew. He is roughly two years old.

We always request a fenced yard. Occasionally we will accept  invisible fence for certain dogs, but leash walking is mandatory in these cases. The first step is to fill out our online application to get our process started. Thank you

If you would like to foster a Newfoundland in need, please fill out our online adoption application and write anywhere that you would like to foster.

We rarely get puppies less than 8 months of age unless they have major medical issues. We recommend www.newfpuppy.com if purchasing from a breeder.
